I like this tape because it captures the rubbishness of first drafts and early rehearsals, even when geniuses are involved (Dylan and Clapton in this case). The first couple of minutes are all false starts and jarring dead ends. But they don't give up. Things slowly start coming together, the drummer finds a beat, Clapton starts tuning in to Dylan's piano. Then, at around 3.09, something new bursts furiously into life.
